By applying to appear on The Unfinished Story, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility

Applicants must:

Be truthful in their application.

Be legally able to provide consent.

Be at least 18 years old unless otherwise approved.

2. Application Does Not Guarantee Selection

Submitting an application does not guarantee:

An interview.

A callback.

Filming.

Publication.

Compensation.

3. Selection Process

Guests are selected at our sole discretion.

We are not required to explain why an application is accepted or declined.

4. Honesty

Applicants agree that the information submitted is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Providing knowingly false information may result in removal from consideration.

5. Respectful Conduct

Guests are expected to treat cast, crew, sponsors, and other participants respectfully.

We reserve the right to end filming if conduct creates safety concerns or prevents production from continuing.

6. Safety

Certain activities may involve travel or recreational experiences.

Participation is voluntary.

Separate activity-specific waivers may be required.

7. Sponsorships & Gifts

From time to time, guests may receive:

Donations

Services

Sponsor-provided items

Educational opportunities

Referrals

Financial assistance

These are offered at our discretion and are not guaranteed.

8. No Promise of Continued Assistance

Any assistance provided during or after filming is voluntary unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Participation does not create an ongoing obligation for support.

9. Confidential Information

Guests should avoid sharing confidential information they are not comfortable making public.

10. Media Release

If selected, guests will sign a separate Media Release Agreement governing the recording and use of their name, image, voice, and likeness.

11. Editing Rights

The Unfinished Story retains editorial discretion over filmed material. We may edit episodes for clarity, length, pacing, or storytelling, while striving not to materially misrepresent a participant's statements.

Episodes may be published on:

YouTube

Instagram

TikTok

Facebook

X

Podcasts

Streaming platforms

Television

Future media formats

Publication timing is at our discretion.

13. Removal Requests

Because episodes may be distributed, downloaded, or shared across multiple platforms, we generally cannot guarantee removal of published content. Requests will be reviewed individually but may not be granted.

14. Travel & Expenses

Unless agreed to in writing, guests are responsible for their own travel and incidental expenses.

15. Independent Participation

Guests participate as independent individuals and are not employees, contractors, or representatives of The Unfinished Story by appearing on the show.

16. Assumption of Risk

Guests acknowledge that participating in interviews, public activities, or recorded experiences involves ordinary risks, including public attention and commentary.

17. Right to Cancel

The Unfinished Story may cancel, postpone, or discontinue filming at any time for production, safety, scheduling, or other operational reasons.

18. Changes

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your application will generally apply unless you are notified otherwise.
